Substantial, private home with large vegetable garden on Salt Spring Island, BC requires a cook for the summer months, mid June to mid September. This person shall possess a strong knowledge of cooking as well as practical experience. They can live on-sight and be required to perform the following duties: • Prepare organic, wholesome, meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizers), snacks, including family picnics and barbeques) for the owners and their family and guests. • Baking as required. • Keep track and inventory all food items in the house. • Create weekly grocery lists. • Use or prep and store foods that come in from the vegetable garden. Meals are made from premium ingredients, and there will be an additional helper for serving, dishwashing and light housekeeping. Remuneration will commensurate with experience. This person can live onsight with room and board included. This person will be able to go off property for their days off and we will provide boat transportation to and from the workplace on Salt Spring Island to Burgoyne Bay, SSI or Maple Bay Marina, Duncan, on Vancouver Island.
