Hitachi model HT-L55 Linear Tracking Turntable First released in 1983, manufactured in Japan. This turntable has been fully mechanically and electrically restored with new capacitors, belt, and cables. Mechanism cleaned and lubricated. Professionally restored it now functions as well as it did when it left the factory in the 1980s and will continue to for many years to come. Does not suffer from any of the age-related problems which inevitably plague linear trackers after 40 years: No stretched belt, no dragging arm motion, no arm servo noise through the pickup, etc. Completely rebuilt and fully functional. Beautiful compact design, small footprint, easy to operate. Fully automatic - press one button and the record starts playing. Since the tonearm is never touched by human hands it eliminates the risk of accidentally scratching your precious vinyl records.
