1988 Sony CD 10-Disc CD Changer, made in Japan. Professionally serviced in 2025 with all functions restored and tested. Mechanism and cartridge disassembled, cleaned and relubricated. The CDP-C100 and its relatives were highly sophisticated and reliable machines marketed during the peak years of CD adoption in the late-1980s. Sony was competing for market share by offering advanced designs with many features, a level of quality which is not available in the modern mass-produced CD players of today. The only notable design flaw of this mechanism is that it requires clean CDs (in the 80s all CDs were clean and new!) as any grime or stickiness can jam up the cartridges. Should this occur the procedure for unjamming the mechanism is easy to perform. This CD changer can shuffle the tracks from up to 10 CDs, acting like a jukebox on auto-play mode, providing an effortless soundtrack to your parties. This model does _not_ insert annyoing silences between tracks as many other Sony units do, which allows seamless playback of albums where one song flows into the next. Features optical digital output in addition to standard RCA. In perfect working order and ready for decades more of music!
